Bo Tien Home for the Aged

As 2017 draws to a close with the Season of Giving & Sharing, SCALE took the opportunity to organise a community service activity on 9 December afternoon with students and staff to bring cheer and goodwill to the elderly at the Bo Tien Home for the Aged.

Students and staff gathered at the Event Hall of the Home to present donated items to the Home, followed by art-and-craft activities with the elderly and, finally, a singing session with a medley of songs to entertain the elderly before they headed off for their short afternoon rest break. During this rest break, students and staff cleaned up the Event Hall while getting to know each other better. After that, students and staff then headed to the dining area to help serve and mingle with the elderly during their afternoon tea session.

Arts and Craft by the Elderly

Even though SCALE students are working and studying at the same time, they took time out from their busy schedule to do their bit for the community by bringing joy to the elderly during this season.

Wishing all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
