There are 2 application periods for admission conducted for each Academic Year (AY) i.e.:

  • for August intake: application opens in January
  • for January intake: application opens in June

The application dates for the upcoming intake of the following BTech programmes are:

Entrance Examination Fee S$80/examination Entrance examination fee is included in the fee for applicants who are required to sit for compulsory entrance examinations and are attending the BPUs / BTech Bridging Units (BBUs).
Example: If you are required to sit for compulsory entrance examinations in Mathematics and Electronics, and have registered to attend the BPU in Mathematics, you are required to pay for the entrance examination fee for Electronics only.

Note: Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The University reserves the right to review fees as necessary and adjust accordingly without prior notice.

  • Before applying, please note the following:

    1. Applicants may be required by the Admissions Committee to sit for entrance examinations to fulfill admission requirements. Entrance examination details are:

    Note: There are no make-up papers if the applicant is unable to sit for the entrance examinations on the arranged dates. Application to the BTech course will be considered withdrawn if an applicant is unable to sit for the entrance examinations as required.

    2. All 2½-year part-time local diploma holders are only allowed to apply for admission after completion of their local diploma. They must complete the three BTech Bridging Units (BBUs) together and are required to sit for Mathematics, Physical Principles in Engineering and one of the discipline examinations depending on the BTech course applied. Applicants applying to BTech Industrial & Management Engineering may choose any of the disciplines offered. All other applicants may be required to sit for Mathematics and/or respective discipline entrance examinations based on the BTech course applied. Example: An applicant applying for admission to the BTech degree in Electronics Engineering may be required to sit for Mathematics and/or Electronics entrance examination(s). However, applicants applying for admission to the BTech degree in Industrial & Management Engineering may be required to sit for Mathematics entrance examination only as there is no discipline entrance examination.
    3. Applicants are able to check on their application outcome via the SCALE Online Application Portal using their Application Number, NRIC/FIN and Date of Birth based on the dates in the table below:

  • Please note the following:

    1. Applicants may be required by the Admissions Committee to attend a compulsory Mathematics Refresher Course. Details will be sent via email.
    2. After application outcomes are released, successful applicants are able to confirm their registration for the Module Advanced Placement Credits (MAPC) Tests with full payment of the non-refundable and non-transferable fee. Details will be emailed to successful applicants who indicated that they would like to take the MAPC Tests in their application. Meanwhile, applicants are recommended to accept their admission offer by the specified deadline.
    3. For those who took the Module Advanced Placement Credits (MAPC) Tests, the outcomes will be released via email to applicants within a week after each test.
