The Bachelor of Technology (BTech) Programme is a high quality part-time degree programme specially designed for polytechnic graduates working in the industry. The curriculum is specially tailored to meet the background and needs of such polytechnic graduates, and the programme provides an affordable avenue for them to upgrade without having to leave their jobs or to go overseas. The modular structure of the course also enables students to study at their own pace with minimal disruption to their family and work commitments.

Students enrolled in the BTech Programme study while they continue to acquire work experience. This mode of study, while more demanding, has the significant advantage that theories and analyses learned in the classroom can readily be related and translated to actual applications in engineering practice and vice versa. Furthermore, by the time they graduate, BTech students would not only have acquired a highly recognised degree from a distinguished University, they would also have gained several years of valuable industrial work experience.

Graduates of the BTech Programmes have been admitted to Masters and PhD studies at NUS and elsewhere.

The following BTech courses in Engineering disciplines are accredited by the relevant engineering bodies, and taught by highly qualified Engineering faculty members using first-class laboratory facilities in NUS. Click on links below for more information on the respective discipline courses.
