The NUS SCALE Youth Programme Future Series is more than just an educational programme for youths from Singapore and around the world.
The NUS SCALE Youth Programme Future Series is your window to the future. Specially curated for high school and pre-university students aged 15 to 18 years old, this programme is designed to help you discover the impact you want to make and to make informed decisions about your future. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the NUS experience, embracing NUS’s culture of innovation, academic excellence, and global responsibility.
This December, we are excited to offer two parallel tracks:
STEM and Future Technology track:
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Fundamentals (15 - 20 December 2024)
New Media and Communications track:
Media Communication and Marketing (15 - 20 December 2024)
Throughout this 1-week programme, participants will explore cutting-edge topics, engage with industry experts, and collaborate on innovative projects. Beyond the academic experience, participants will also develop essential soft skills such as leadership, teamwork, and public speaking.

Programme Fee
The programme fee is SGD 2,321.70 per participant per programme, which includes:
Professional and administrative fee,
Meal voucher or food of equivalent value, for weekday lunch,
Soft copy of course materials, online and on-site support,
Camp T-shirt and welcome package.
Accommodation, local transport for activities not arranged by NUS SCALE, insurance and other personal expenses are not covered in the programme fee. Q: What’s the tool/platform used during Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Fundamentals programme?
A: Participants will be taught to use Orange, a graphic computing software for machine learning. To maximise the learning outcome, participants should bring their own laptop (Windows OS/Mac OS preferred).
Q: What’s the estimated amount of self-study/preparation time outside the classroom?
A: Around 2 - 3 hours each day, which includes reviewing the material covered in class, and preparing for the presentation.
Q: Is accommodation provided for this programme?
A: On-campus accommodation is not included in the December 2024 programme run, as the NUS hostels are undergoing maintenance during the year-end school holiday.
Q: Are meals provided?
A: Dinner on 15 December 2024 and weekday lunch are provided to participants. Breakfast and dinner on the other days are not included in the package.
Certificate of Completion
Successful participants who fulfill all program requirements, including meeting the minimum attendance and passing the assessment, will be awarded an e-Certificate of Completion and Assessment Report issued by NUS SCALE.
