OVERVIEW
The National University of Singapore (NUS) Executive Visiting Fellows Programme is a non-degree, certificate programme designed for select global leaders to customise their NUS learning experience.
The NUS Executive Visiting Fellows programme allows individuals and groups to access professional development on their own terms, by combining courses within subject areas of immediate value to their careers. Participants can look forward to exciting classes, stimulating faculty engagements and inspiring discussions with other NUS students.
NUS Fellows are rewarded with unique insight into the latest advances in their domain, connections with industry experts and a rich network of ambitious peers.
Upon completion of the programme, Fellows would have gained:
- Unique knowledge and expertise related to areas of interest
- Experience from academic studies and Singaporean industry practices through lectures, mentorship and field experiences
- Personal connections with international network of practitioners and subject matter experts
- Research results, or business project deliverables as agreed during application phase
Programme Highlights
- Full time, non-degree, certificate programme
- Customised course selection including three courses per semester, each course corresponding to 4 Modular Credits
- Optional participation on audit basis allows for exemption from formal examinations
- Pursuit of individual or group research project
- Mentorship from faculty for project completion
Experience
Throughout the programme, participants are formally registered as NUS students and gain:
- Admittance to NUS academic courses
- Access to seminars, public lectures and lunchtime talks hosted at NUS schools
- Admittance to university shared facilities to conduct research, meetings and discussions
- Team mentorship with NUS faculty members
APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION
Application Period
An Academic Year (AY) at NUS consists of two semesters and a special term (which occurs during the Semester 2 Vacation, and is divided into two parts of six weeks duration each):
- Semester 1: Aug–Dec
- Semester 2: Jan–May
- Special Term (Part 1): May–Jun
- Special Term (Part 2): Jun–Jul
For the Executive visiting Fellows Programme, there are two application periods for each AY:

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Admission to the NUS Executive Visiting Fellows programme is granted on a competitive basis as places in the programme are limited. Applicants should possess the following minimum requirements:

Bachelor's Degree (preferably with Honours) in Science, Engineering, Analytics, Medicine, Business or equivalent disciplines
Note: Candidates with academic qualifications other than the above may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval by the department

Skill/Experience |
Fellows must be professionals with a minimum of eight years of professional experience, or a mix of academic and professional experience

English Language
|
Applicants whose native tongue and medium of university instruction is not completely in English:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) minimum score of 85 (Internet-based), or
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) minimum Academic score 6.0

Applicants will be assessed based on their personal achievements as well as recommendations and official endorsements

MODE OF STUDY AND PROGRAMME CANDIDATURE
The NUS Executive Visiting Fellows programme is offered on the following basis (with estimated time to complete the programme indicated below):

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
To graduate from the NUS Executive Visiting Fellows programme, students must meet the following requirements:
