"My DSFP journey has reframed aging as renewal rather than retreat, sharpening my commitment to a life of ongoing contribution and impact. The programme catalysed T100.Life, a Fellow-led platform for intergenerational thriving, where I actively connect generations, stories, and resources - helping more people navigate their Third Transition with purpose, connection and joy."
Richard Bleasdale
“The DSFP has been a rare opportunity to step back from the everyday and rethink purpose, contribution and the life I want to build next. It sharpened my belief in doing good through what I do best, and the cohort experience was truly inspiring. I finish with clarity, confidence and a renewed sense of possibility for the decades ahead.”
Michael Chin
“The DSFP has been a defining inflection point in my Third Transition journey, deepening my understanding of longevity science and social innovation while crystallising a renewed sense of purpose. It has transformed my curiosity about thriving in a 100-year life into a commitment to collective flourishing, catalysing purpose-led initiatives that enhance livelihoods, resilience, and shared wellbeing in Singapore and beyond.”
Choong Wai Hong
“The DSFP gave me a rare pause to look back at the pieces that formed my path — culture, music, ageing, community and experiences. It made me more aware of the stage I’m entering, and shines a light on what’s possible in the path ahead. What I carry forward is a quiet hope and a reminder to show up more for people who’ve had fewer opportunities.”
Ian Gan
“The DSFP has emphasized to me the significance of planning for a long and meaningful life. This planning should commence decades prior to retirement and should not be left to serendipity. Personally, I adhere to the concept of Ikigai, an idea suggesting that a fulfilling life necessitates a strong emotional and financial bedrock.”
Stephen Keys
“Beyond its curriculum, the DSFP has taught me the power of connection and belonging. I came to the programme expecting to learn from others; I leave feeling that I now belong among them. Belonging, I’ve learned, is itself a form of wisdom, and a reminder that no journey of renewal is ever meant to be walked alone. The DSFP has not just prepared me for what comes next; it has helped me inhabit the present more fully, with acceptance, with purpose, and with gratitude for the belonging I’ve found along the way.”
Michelle Lee
“I left a 30-year career to start a social enterprise to pursue a more purposeful life. I have uplifted thousands of lives and strengthened communities through our social prescription. It has been 12 years; I wanted to do more. The DSFP is a thoughtful, well-designed programme. Delving into an eclectic range of courses from science and medicine to art and philosophy, it helped me to refuel my curiosity, recharge my creativity, reflect and release what does not serve me. I have renewed my purpose to add even more value to humanity.”
Lim Swee Kim
“The DSFP has helped convince me that my time on earth could easily span another 30 to 40 years with a couple of adjustments in my lifestyle and life priorities, which will also increase life satisfaction for my loved ones, my communities, and also for myself. The lectures on holistic well-being and interdisciplinary learnings were liberating as they opened up several doors of knowledge which I had never thought of walking through previously, and with ‘The 100 year old Life’ as a placeholder, I am now envisioning a fuller and more meaningful life ahead filled with positive impact for all involved.”
Vicky Lim Tan
“The DSFP has provided the invaluable gift of friendship, my Singapore-based community enriching my life journey. Their individual and collective perspectives fill my curiosity, and help me expand the possibilities of how else I can live with greater significance.”
Jonathan Main
"The DSFP sharpened my focus and resolve to create a lasting legacy for my family in my Third Age. My team and I created our purpose project: a digital toolbox called 'Activate', to provide enhanced safety and security for autistic family members when their caregivers are no longer around. With this, I aspire to create meaningful impact, by digitally connecting the families with autistic persons, to integrate into and thrive in the community and society.”
Fiona Nixon
“The DSFP has strengthened my interest in the foundations of design, including philosophy, art theory and cultural evolution. Its focus on situating scientific research and political thought within the Asian context has helped steer me towards impact-driven work in urban futures, sustainable development, and the mentoring of emerging designers.”
Hellmut Schütte
“The broad range of topics offered was impressive, from philosophy to art appreciation, from research in natural science to welfare systems in old-age homes. The topic of health policies combined with the changing demographics had an impact on me. The complexity of the various options is mind-boggling. As are the interdependencies between medical, social and financial implications. I liked the emphasis on the not so well-off older part of the population.”
Stanley Sia
“The DSFP strengthened my conviction to advance research on the evolving demands of a 100-year life, particularly the interdependencies across lifelong learning, financial wellness, work, healthspan and ageing policy. The programme has been transformative, motivating me to translate insights into actionable frameworks, such as the LIVeD model and F-FIT, to enhance longevity preparedness at both institutional and societal levels.”
Tan Kok Heng
“The DSFP reshaped my understanding of leadership by shifting my focus from what I do to who I am. It deepened my Third Transition journey and revealed that identity, purpose, and intention matter more than titles. This has inspired me to pursue meaningful impact in governance, sustainability, and leadership development, and to help others discover and lead from their authentic selves.”
Peter SS Tan
“The DSFP reframed my leadership legacy, moving me from executive to ecosystem builder. The deep learning on social innovation systems has directly inspired my two new purpose projects with my peers. One covering the challenges faced by the vulnerable, the other on social cohesion in Singapore and beyond.”
Frank Tan Wenqing
“The three-month DSFP has come to an end, but its impact on me lingers on. The interactions I had with my professors and local Singaporean classmates at school have made it clearer to me how a 21st-century Chinese can become a globally-minded citizen with a firm cultural foundation, and integrate into the local Singaporean society. This has thus initiated my ten-year plan, ‘Becoming Global Ready’, for my purpose project.”
Tan Yenlin
