SkillsFuture Career Transition Programmes (SCTPs) is a national workforce initiative by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) for organisations to potentially recruit mid-career individuals with newly-acquired industry-relevant skill sets that are aligned to their firms' business needs. It is a Train-and-Place programme where the SCTP trainees will attend training courses and other immersive learning activities, in addition to NUS' career advisory services and employment facilitation.

(SCTP) NUS Data Analytics Programme - Details
The jobs of tomorrow are already in the present. Workers in the knowledge economy are not only expected to be digitally literate, they also need to be data-savvy and fluent in communicating analytical insights to different stakeholders. While the pandemic has displaced many jobs, it has also created new ones. In Singapore, the position of Data Analyst is identified as one of the most in-demand job roles in the digital economy. The top cluster of skills include data analysis/analytics, statistical analysis, data visualisation and others. 
 
At NUS' Faculty of Science (FOS), a suite of short courses is offered via the (SCTP) NUS Data Analytics Programme to prepare trainees for data analyst roles in organisations. Through a series of hands-on instructor-led training as well as supervised coaching on real-world data projects, trainees develop skills to generate reports, dashboards and analytical solutions catered to business specifications, and turn insights into creating business values for organisations.
This course is differentiated in its intensive and comprehensive design that incorporates three mutually reinforcing training segments:
• Technical core competencies in analytics and visualisations
• Quantitative reasoning skills and analytics methodology
• Immediate skills application to tackle industry-focused analytics problems through a 35-hr project component
• Data Analyst

The SCTP equips trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge in the following areas:
• Define data problems precisely and reason quantitatively
• Articulate various data types, data collection methods as well as data ethics and privacy issues
• Execute data preparation techniques using off-the-shelf products or through scripting
• Select and generate appropriate visualisations using off-the-shelf products or through scripting
• Apply effective visual analytics principles to highlight insights in dashboards
• Predict patterns and trends using machine learning techniques such as classification, regression, clustering and simple forecasting
• Create data-driven solutions for a capstone project and communicate the insights effectively to a target audience
• Implement a data analytics project by applying the analytics process methodology

(SCTP) NUS Data Intelligence and Business Analytics Programme - Details
The (SCTP) NUS Data Intelligence and Business Analytics Programme is a Train-and-Place programme offered by the Department of Advanced Computing for Executives (ACE), at the NUS School of Computing.  

The programme aims to benefit trainees who want to work in the fields of digital transformation, data analytics, and business intelligence. It also provides trainees an understanding of the analytical techniques and tools used in data science and learn how to apply these tools to projects. 

By the end of the programme, trainees will have the ability to interpret business specifications, turn insights into creating business value for organisations, and contribute to their organisations' growth and success. They will learn through synchronous sessions, small group work with fellow trainees, hands-on practice, and with the NUS faculty.
This SCTP is a ‘for practitioner and skills deepening programme’, differentiated by its focus on:
• Capabilities development in data intelligence and business analytics
• Deepen skills and learn the tools essential for data science and business intelligence roles
• Maximise data-driven decision-making and the use of analytics tools and programming languages such as Python and R to immediate workplace projects
• Train-Coach model to maximise skills transfer to immediate workplace problem-solving

(SCTP) NUS Sustainability & Resilience is a holistic programme that will offer participants the latest knowledge, skills and insights to corporate sustainability and resilience that: 

  • Transcended the post-pandemic economic landscape
  • Are endorsed by the World Economic Forum
Participants will learn through interactive live sessions, collaborative small group activities, practical exercises, and engaging discussions with NUS faculty and industry experts covering relevant topics in today’s context.  

 

 
(SCTP) NUS Sustainability & Resilience is a “for practitioner, by practitioner programme”, differentiated by its focus on:
  • Designing pragmatic business strategies for corporate sustainability with the circular economy model
  • Assessing workflows to reduce carbon footprint and GHG emissions
  • Designing pragmatic business strategies for enterprise resilience with the scenario planning methodology
  • Assessing readiness to achieving resilience-building
The programme will prepare learners for following job roles:
  • Corporate Sustainability Officer/Executive/Advisor
  • Resilience Executive/Advisor
  • Safety Executive/Coordinator
  • Fire Safety Executive/Coordinator
The programme will equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge in the following areas:
  • United Nations adopted Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • International and local regulations concerning corporate sustainability and resilience frameworks.
  • Writing sustainability reports and calculation of carbon footprint.
  • Assessing sustainability-related risks and impact investing.
  • Mapping environmental sustainability and elements of environmental management system.
  • Green engineering and calculation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Digital transformation is no longer an option. As the world becomes increasingly digital, there is a need to transform your business to remain relevant and competitive. Demands from customers are increasing and companies within industries facing fierce competition. Integrating digital technology into aspects of a business to fundamentally change how they operate and deliver value to their customers is what’s needed to survive and thrive.

This Digital Transformation Programme is a whole rounded programme that offers the participants the latest insights on various digital technologies widely used in the industry, and pre-eminently by companies that have walked the transformation path with years of successes and failures. The participants will learn through live sessions, small group work with fellow participants, hand on practice, and conversations with NUS faculty and industry experts on some of today’s most cutting-edge topics.

Professional Certificate in Trisector Strategy and Innovation for Transformation is a Train-Coach model to maximise skills transfer to immediate workplace problem solving. It will equip learners with the competencies of Problem Setting, Data Collection and Analysis and Idea Generation and Consolidated Strategy.
This course is a ‘for practitioner by practitioner programme’, differentiated by its focus on:
• Digital business strategy formulation & marketplace solutioning
