How to Apply

Please follow the instructions below to submit an application for the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) and/or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes. 

Step 1: Submit application form
Application is done online by submitting an electronic application form via the Applicant Portal during the application period. You are allowed to submit only one electronic application form and hard-copy application form is not accepted. You may select up to a maximum of 5 programmes in your application.

Step 2: Uploading of supporting documents
You are required to upload all supporting documents to the Portal before submitting your application. Each file must be in PDF format, and not exceeding 1.5MB in size. You may refer to the required supporting documents for submission found at the bottom of this page.

Step 3: Pay application fee
After submitting your online application, you will receive an acknowledgment email. Log in to the Applicant Portal to pay your application fee. Please note that only paid applications will be processed. You will receive an e-receipt in your registered email to confirm on your payment. Do note that the application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, and only online payment is accepted.

Notes:
  1. Supporting documents that are not in English must be accompanied by a translation of the same in English.
  2. Any inaccurate, false or incomplete information will render your application invalid. Persons admitted on the basis of such information may be expelled or required to withdraw from the University.
  3. Check your email regularly as we will correspond with you through email only.

  • Completed NS liability (i.e. ORD) - Certificate of Service (COS) / Service transcript is required.
  • Currently serving NS - A letter from MINDEF with expected date of completion of service is required. (Note: You must have completed your NS before the semester starts)
  • Regular officer - A letter from MINDEF with the expected date of completion of service is required.
  • Exempted from NS liability - The exemption letter from MINDEF is required.

f) GCE ‘O’ Level Result (i.e. Singapore Cambridge GCE / SPM / Cambridge GCE / Edexcel-London)

  • Copy of front and back is required, including the explanatory notes.

g) Diploma Transcript and Diploma scroll

  • Copy of front and back is required, including the legend/grading system.

i) Information on withdrawal from previous degree programme studied (if any)

You are required to provide the official withdrawal letter and the transcript for courses that you have completed. If you have withdrawn from one of the local universities, you are also required to provide the official documents from the university with the following information:

  • Name
  • NRIC
  • Programme enrolled
  • Date of admission
  • Date of withdrawal / dismissal
  • No. of modular units/credits required to graduate (inclusive of exemption upon admission)
  • No. of modular units/credits granted as exemption upon admission
  • No. of modular units/credits eligible to enjoy TFS at start of programme (for programme & buffer for failed and repeat courses)
  • No. of modular units/credits consumed so far (for programme & buffer for failed and repeat courses)

j) Certification on Current Employment

A letter from the HR/Head of Department (HOD) is required. The letter must be printed on the company letterhead and endorsed by the HR or HOD with the company stamp. It should not be dated more than 3 months from the application date and the following details must be stated:

  • Your current position / title
  • Your joined date (DD/MM/YYYY)

Note: For any system generated letter, endorsement by the HR or HOD with company stamp is still required.

OR

The CPF Yearly Statements with your name, month and year of contribution, and company name indicated. The whole employment period is required. (Note: This is applicable only to Singapore Citizen and Singapore Permanent Resident.)

k) Certification on Previous Employment

A letter from the previous company is required. The letter must be printed on the company letterhead and endorsed by the HR or HOD with the company stamp. The date of joining and leaving (DD/MM/YYYY) must be indicated in the letter.

OR

The CPF Yearly Statements with your name, month and year of contribution, and company name indicated. The whole employment period is required. (Note: This is applicable only to Singapore Citizen and Singapore Permanent Resident.)

l) Company Sponsorship Letter (if any)

Should you be financially (e.g. sponsoring of tuition fee) / non-financially (e.g. providing exam leave) sponsored by your company, the official approved sponsorship letter with details on the sponsoring items, must be printed on the company letterhead with endorsement by the HR or HOD.
