PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
This youth programme is specially curated for undergraduate students who are interested in financial technologies (FinTech) and their application in the Financial industry and business operation. The programme focuses on thematic areas of financial technology with the use of plenty of real-world business cases to illustrate the design, application, risks, and relevant regulatory measures of FinTech. Students will also learn to master the concepts of ‘New Ways of Working’ including Design Thinking and Lean Startup methods through hands-on workshops and are required to present a case study at the end of the course.
By the end of the course, participants should be able to:
- Understand the landscape of financial technologies and their applications;
- Understand the landscape of financial technologies and their applications;
- Understand the concepts of CryptoFinance and how Blockchain and Smart Contracts are used in the financial industry;
- Understand the concepts of CreditTech and how Fintech is helping both individuals and businesses raise capital;
- Understand the concepts of InvestTech and how Big Data and Artificial Intelligence are used in banking;
- Understand how to develop a FinTech Strategy;
- Understand the main concepts of ‘New Ways of Working’ and its applications;
- Understand FinTech risks and regulations.
Who Should Attend
The target audience for this course includes undergraduate students with a strong desire to learn the basics of financial management with professional terminology but without jargon.
Pre-Requisites
There are no specific pre-requisites. Students will find it beneficial to have some basic knowledge of finance and technology prior to enrolling in this course.
Participants are required to bring their own computing device, charger and universal travel adaptor (for international participants) throughout the duration of the programme.

Boon Kee is a fervent advocate for building products that matter. Graduated from the National University of Singapore with a degree in Information Systems and Computer Science in 1989. Started building software products in early career as a software engineer and then went into IT consulting working in companies such as HP, Sun Microsystems and Accenture. Started journey into product management in 2012 by engaging with several companies on their digital transformation journeys to help them move from a project-driven to a product-centric business model in delivering digital products and services. Teaching Digital Product Management for undergraduate and Fintech Innovation for Consumers for postgraduate students, as well as working professionals in Singapore for past 10 years.
Certificate of Completion
Successful participants who fulfill all program requirements, including meeting the minimum attendance and passing the assessment, will be awarded an e-Certificate of Completion and Assessment Report issued by NUS SCALE.
