AI IN HEALTH AND NURSING

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

Over the course of these lectures, participants will gain an understanding of what AI actually is and the basic principles behind it. From these fundamentals, they will then be provided with an overview of the current AI in healthcare landscape, the major domains where AI is being applied, and finally a workable approach to drive the AI application and adoption in the workplace.

With an understanding of AI and its application, participants will have the basic skills and knowledge to allow them to identify opportunities to improve the health outcomes of their patients through AI. This course will also provide participants with a solid foundation to allow them to further develop their AI skillset over the course of their training and careers.

PRE-REQUISITES

There are no prerequisites for this course as the material will cover the basics of AI through to advanced applications in Healthcare and Nursing.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is targeted towards those who intend to follow a career in Nursing or related disciplines.

MODE OF DELIVERY

18 hours of hybrid online programme, including asynchronous lessons, tutorials and a final project presentation.

 Dr. Peter Condron

Dr. Peter Condron

Peter Condron is a Data Science and IT leader with over 21 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry. An expert in the analysis and transformation of healthcare organizations, Peter has driven the creation of world-class data-driven organizations and high performing teams in large multi-national organizations such as Novartis, Eli Lilly and Merck, as well as Singaporean based research agencies (A*Star) and local startups

Amir is a Senior Lecturer with the School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS). Before joining the NUS, he was with the Faculty of Computer Engineering, University of Isfahan, Iran, where he was serving as a professor of AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science. He has taught artificial intelligence courses, including AI, Advanced AI, Expert Systems, Decision Support Systems, Neural Networks, and Cognitive Science since 2005 at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

 



CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

Successful participants who complete all requirements of the programme including passing the assessment will receive a certificate of completion issued by NUS SCALE.
