COURSE OBJECTIVES
This programme spans over 5 days in Singapore and focuses on fostering teaching skills and knowledge about learning types. It aims to facilitate the development of teaching effectiveness in multi-disciplinary programmes in order to better achieve competency learning and constructive thinking. Students will explore and reflect on themes mainly competency-oriented learning, problem-based learning, challenge-based learning and driving independent thinking as well as learn how to apply these concepts for effective and dynamic teaching. The programme will adopt a dialectic approach which involves a mix of thematic discussions and active classroom learning, allowing students to experience the actions of the above-mentioned themes themselves while going through the training.
PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS
The programme comprises 4 discussion driven workshops at 3 hours per module over 4 days. The first 2 hours will be interactive lecture and the final 1 hour will be a facilitated discussion segment followed by a debrief. The programme will culminate with small group presentations at the end of the programme on the fifth day and last session.
