NUS SCALE partners with CPG Facilities Management and BATU for upskilling in the facilities management industry

18 April 2019 – The NUS School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (NUS SCALE) has teamed up with CPG Facilities Management and the Building Construction and Timber Industries Union to form a Company Training Committee (CTC) which will help upskill workers in the facilities management industry.

A first for the industry – which includes landscaping, security, cleaning and life maintenance – the CTC will identify and address skills gaps for workers and help them attain new skills to keep pace with industry transformation.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in which NUS SCALE will conduct training needs analysis, develop training frameworks, as well as design and curate relevant programmes for the industry.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Guest-of-Honour Mr Zainal Sapari, Executive Secretary of BATU.

Apart from NUS SCALE, the CTC will also tap on the expertise of training providers such as the Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) and NTUC LearningHub.
