NUS SCALE partners with the Singapore Retailers Association to boost local retail sector
16 August 2019 – In its latest industry collaboration, the NUS School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (NUS SCALE) has joined forces with the Singapore Retailers Association (SRA) to uplift the retail sector in Singapore.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed this morning at the Singapore Retail Industry Conference & Exhibition 2019, which will see both organisations work towards developing a sustainable and competitive workforce for the sector.
For the duration of the next three years, both parties will promote thought leadership in lifelong learning and talent development for Singapore’s retailers, as well as partner on initiatives that will enable SRA members and the retail sector to stay relevant with the right knowledge and skills.
The agreement was penned by Professor Wei Kwok Kee, Dean of NUS SCALE, and Mr R Dhinakaran, President of SRA, and was witnessed by Guest of Honour Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Trade and Industry.
It comes on the heels of several other agreements recently signed by NUS SCALE to advance its industry collaborations – most notably with CPG Facilities Management and Sembwaste for the facilities management and waste management industries respectively.
