NUS SCALE teams up with ACCA for lifelong learning and talent development
14 May 2019 – The NUS School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (NUS SCALE) has partnered with leading global accountancy body ACCA to promote thought leadership in lifelong learning and talent development for the professional services industry.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the ACCA Annual Conference 2019 that will enable accounting, banking and finance professionals to stay relevant amidst industry transformation.
It was witnessed by Guest-of-Honour Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for Education.
Professor Wei Kwok Kee, Dean of NUS SCALE, said that his school is delighted to be collaborating with ACCA in the upskilling of its members with the knowledge and skills needed for industry transformation.
“In light of the digital economy and Fourth Industrial Revolution, we will jointly offer courses in areas such as Industry 4.0, data analytics, design thinking, innovation, business agility, and cybersecurity.”
Reuter Chua, national head of ACCA Singapore, said that it is crucial for industry professionals to remain agile by equipping themselves with the latest industry and technical updates.
“We look forward to working with NUS SCALE to bring more workshops on digital, data processing, creative thinking, and communication – with agility as the foundation, as these workshops provide some of the most demanded skill sets and knowledge that employers today are seeking.”
